 The Aylsham Manor Residential Care Home for the elderly offers 28 places to residents,  with  two spaces for day care residents. Respite care may be possible at certain times.  The Manor is a large 17th Century residence in beautiful surroundings - formerly the Archbishops summer palace, the listed building has been modified to enable our residents of all physical abilities to live as comfortably as possible.

Situated in Aylsham, Norfolk just eleven miles from Norwich with bus routes to the city, Cromer and Sheringham.  The National Trust's  Blickling Hall is a couple of miles to the north and with many country walks to be had there are plenty of places to go with family and friends when they come to visit. Our home for the elderly is just minutes walk from the town centre which offers several pubs and cafes, butchers and greengrocers as well as three supermarkets. 

The main aim of our family run care home is to provide a comfortable home for our elderly residents - we encourage new residents to bring their personal effects with them to ease the transition into a new home.  We strive to provide an excellent level of care -  whatever the needs may be and where necessary or appropriate, we offer personal care from trained staff. Health care needs are supported by 2 local GP surgeries and an excellent community nurse team.

We pride ourselves on the high standards to achieve our residents comfort and dignity,  and  there is an ongoing commitment to training with approximately 80% of staff qualified to NVQ2 and above. The care provided can support people through most stages of later life and the Home has just received a Commend for the Gold Standard Framework for End of Life Care.  The Aylsham Manor achieved Investors in People Award for the 4th time in 2009.
