Spring 2012 Newsletter
Easter is behind us and early flowers are filling out the beds in the gardens. With thoughts tending towards summer, we have started a Residents’ Garden Group this year, and it has been very successfully sowing and raising seeds and making cuttings to help fill out the Manor beds. I hope you will all enjoy the gardens this summer- tended by Tom and Karl and myself, with a little help from Carl on the ride on mower.
The Home has also seen a makeover this year, and we hope you like the new wallpaper in the hall lounge, and the colour scheme on the first floor corridor.
This is an auspicious year for us as we celebrate 30 years of the Home being opened in 1982, and then 20 years of Carl and I running it. The invitations for the Garden Party on 24th June have gone out, The Bishop of Lynn will come at 3pm to be our guest of honour (as this once was the Bishop’s Summer Palace) and the bands have been booked. We are really looking forward to the day and hope to see as many of our friends and relatives from the past and present as possible.
